Programs

Family Business -- Perpetuating Success This course is designed for those who currently work in a family business, those who plan to hire children or other relatives to work in your business, those who have family businesses as their major customers or suppliers and those who sit on the board of a family business. We will explore the many unique challenges and opportunities of family businesses.

Best Practices In Warehouse Management. This course is designed for the operations oriented team leader, foreman, manager, or executive. The emphasis in this course is on operational improvement through better costing and management techniques.

Lean Warehousing. This two-day program is designed for warehouse managers, supervisors, and team leaders who want to progress from "good" to "excellent".

Quality and Leadership in the Warehouse. This seminar examines total quality management, workload planning, transition from worker to supervisor, and more.

Warehousing as a Competitive Weapon emphasizes strategic uses of warehousing to improve your company's overall performance.

Improving Warehouse Performance is a two-day seminar that is designed for emerging supervisors who need to sharpen their leadership and performance skills.

While every seminar allows attendees to learn from course leaders, Ackerman Co. programs emphasize the opportunity for managers to learn from each other. The content and format are designed to facilitate exchange of ideas. Management cases are used extensively in order to allow participants to test their own ideas in a group learning situation. Our seminar participants often learn as much from their peers as from the instructors.
